A great start for Gambit Bonnevoie Women, who defeated the Davit Jojua team from Georgia 3.5–0.5.
In the Open section, Bonnevoie lost 5–1 to three-time European champions Nový Bor. However, Slobodan Filipović scored an impressive win with Black against world No. 146 Nils Grandelius.
The score could have been closer, as François Godart came very close to drawing against world No. 22 and Olympic champion Nodirbek Yakubboev.
