Adam Amroune Takes On the World Stage in Batumi

The FIDE World Cadets Cup 2026 wrapped up this weekend in Batumi, Georgia, and Gambit Bonnevoie’s Adam Amroune flew the Luxembourg flag in the Open U12 category. Competing against a field of 118 players, most considerably older and more experienced, Adam scored 4.5/11 to finish 90th, with gold going to FM Marc Llari of France on 9/11. It’s Adam’s first world stage appearance at U12 level, following his run at the World Cadet U10 Championship in Almaty last year. Congratulations to Adam on representing the Luxembourg federation!
