Gambit Bonnevoie is celebrating its 90th anniversary!
To mark nine decades of chess, we are delighted to organise an 11-round FIDE Rapid Tournament on Sunday, 27 September 2026, at the Centre Culturel de Bonnevoie in Luxembourg.
Tournament details
Format: 11-round FIDE Rapid Tournament
Time control: 10 minutes + 3 seconds per move
Eligibility: Open to all players holding a valid FIDE licence
Entry fees
- €30 for adults
- €15 for players under 20 and titled players
Schedule
08:30–09:30 – Check-in and confirmation of registration
10:00 – Round 1 starts
Around 18:30 – Prize ceremony
Please make sure to complete your check-in by 09:30 so that the first round can begin promptly at 10:00.
Prizes
The winner will receive €300 for first place, with numerous additional prizes available across several categories, including youth and women’s prizes.

Lunch and a wide selection of drinks will be available throughout the tournament at affordable prices, allowing players to enjoy the day both on and off the board.
