TaSM Schëffleng invites young chess players to take part in the new 2026/2027 season of its “Last Saturday” monthly rapid chess tournament series.
The first tournament of the season will take place on Saturday, 26 September 2026 in Schifflange.
The tournaments are open to young players in several age categories, and parents can also take part in a separate parents’ tournament.
Tournament details
- Date: Saturday, 26 September 2026
- First round: 08:30
- Please arrive by: 08:15
- Format: 7 rounds, Swiss system
- Time control: 10 minutes + 3 seconds per move
- Entry fee: €5
Age categories
- U8–U10
- U12–U14
- U16–U20
Prizes will be awarded in each category, including medals for the top three players.
Parents’ tournament
Parents are also welcome to play and will have their own tournament alongside the youth competition.
Parents who would like to participate should register in advance.
